  1. Multi .exe apps unable to write to protected files SOLVED

I recently had trouble running FreeFileSync from computer auto start-up, I kept getting a warning that the app could not write to protected folders. I found that only FreeFileSync.exe was allowed through controlled file access of any protected folders.
Adding RealTimeSync.exe (The first called at computer start-up) cured the problem. Both these .exe are in the same app download folder. Something to look for when downloading multi .exe apps and it doesn't function as expected.
All Settings>Update & security>Windows security>Virus & threat protection>Manage Settings>Manage Controlled folder access>Verify as administrator>Add an allowed app. Or type "controlled folder access" in All Settings search.

    :)

  2. Ransomware Protection - How to tell which apps tried to access folder

I recently found out that W10 now has ransomware protection that I am attempting to try, but with not much success.
I have enabled RP and added a couple of folders I want to protect, which a couple of apps I use write to these two folders.

When I enabled RP, the apps were no longer able to write to the folders. When I tried adding the .exe to the allowed program list, it still wouldn't allow the apps to write to the folders. The recently blocked apps list doesn't show anything

Is there a way to see the apps that tried to access the protected file, so I can add the correct file to the allow list?

    Thanks

How To Format A Write Protected Flash Memory ?

    ¿You already tried this one?...

    Run CMD

    1. diskpart
    2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

    2. select disk #
    3. clean
    4. create partition primary
    5. select partition 1
    6. active
    7. format fs=fat32
    8. assign
    9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.

    good luck!
