    Synaptics touchpad sleep problem.

A bug I seem to be having with 2004 is after sleep I cannot use the touchpad to wake the laptop. I have a mouse connected but even if I disconnect this it still doesnt work.
Ive rolled back the driver to the previous (working) one, clean installed the driver & disconnected the Logitech mouse.
The problem seems to be that under power management for the device the allow this device to wake the computer is greyed out.
I as yet havent restored the original drivers but may try this after my daily Macrium backup.

I can wake the laptop using the power button so I dont know whether this is a new feature, a bug which is only affecting a small number of users or a problem.
I have a mouse connected so am fine but it is a puzzle.

    :)

  2. Synaptics TouchPad Problem

I know this is a known issue with Synaptic Touch Pads on Windows 10, and I am having the same problem as well, gestures not working. I have tried a lot of steps that fixed other devices, but didn't helped me one bit. I have an old Acer Aspire 2930 laptop. The software driver installed on my machine came from Windows Update the version is 19.1.3.6. it also appears as Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad on Device Manager. I have tried installing the old driver from Acer driver website but unfortunately the installation fails and does not finish, I tried installing it over compatibility mode as well. Any more ideas for a fix?

P.S. I found an old thread about this which was opened 663 days ago, I don't wanna necro that old post that's why I am opening a new one. Steps there did not work for me as well.
