Windows 10: Windows 10 resizing windows to something small after wake up from sleep

Hi,


I have brand new 10th gen Intel i7 CPU with integrated graphics, 32GB of RAM, super fast 3,5GB/s PCIe disk and 32'' monitor AOC Q3279VWF. Working with native resolution 2550x1440 and 100% size of fonts.


PROBLEM: Every time monitor wakes up from sleep, all windows are resized to 860x770 px size, and also NEW windows try to open in this size.


FACTS:

• PC is brand Fujitsu Celsius
• all drivers up to date,
• Windows 10 version 1909
• PC does NOT go to sleep, and it does NOT hybernate
• I DID install monitor drivers, and it is recognized as correct monitor
• tried to set 100% fonts under Advanced settings, but no help
• and most WEIRD: Desktop is NOT rearanged to VGA resolution! Only Windows are resized.

Any idea?

Computer Wakes Up From Sleep And Goes Back To Sleep?

I built my very own computer with Windows 8 running however, I wanted something new instead of Windows 7 that I've been on for years. Anyways, I put it to sleep, it wakes up and then a little after, it goes back to sleep. Why? It also does turn on in it's own and it's something that Windows 8 programs it to do for maintenance or something and I don't know how to turn that off?

computer wake-up after sleep

Hi Bill,

There's a possibility that the settings that enables your Space bar to wake your computer up from sleep was reset after updating Windows. If this what had happened, we suggest that you just re-set it up. See the steps below on how to do
so:

• Press Windows key and type keyboard in.
• Click on Keyboard option and a pop-up windows should show up.
• From there, go to > Hardware tab > Properties >
  Change settings > Power management > Allow this device to wake the computer >
  OK/Apply.

Try the if the steps did work and let us know any updates.

 

Keeps resizing after sleep

Hopefully I can explain this properly.
I'm having an issue with video. Ever since i upgraded to a gtx 660 ti when returning from sleep the resolution seems to change.
I keep having to "resize" the desktop slightly.
Its fine returning from games, or anything else seems to be fine...but everytime my monitor goes into sleep and I wake it, the screen is wrong. Either it will have black bars all the way around the screen, or it will be too large for the screen.
Its easily fixed using the resize button in the nvidia control panel, but its getting old.

The system was freshly formatted when I upgraded.
I've tried uninstalling drivers and re-installing using the latest versions to no avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
