Windows 10: Is This It For July 2020 Patch Tuesday?

Well another Patch Tuesday has come and gone and defrag is still broken and if you are smart I would continue to keep it turned off especially those of you with SSD's. Oh BTW I bet you are still getting those annoying and aggravating Toast Notifications that my account needs to be fixed and guess where ....... Shared Experiences of course where I have disabled everything in it. Lets not forget those 6 little ESENT 642 warnings you get right after a restart and on occasion afterwards that deal with:


Catalog Database 2560,D,12 Catalog Database: The database format feature version 9080 0x2378 could not be used due to the current database format 1568.20.0, controlled by the parameter 0x410022D8 8920 JET_efvAllowHigherPersistedFormat.


So please enlighten us all Microsoft.....when will these issues be addressed and when will a fix be deployed or will we just have to live with a broken defrag, false annoying notifications that our accounts need to be fixed and the little ESENT 642 warnings. You keep wanting us to have a so called "smooth experience" but I can assure you as well as many others that the installation of Version 2004 has been anything but smooth.

CVE-2020-0601 Patch Fails

With the recent release of patches for the CVE-2020-0601 vulnerability, I have been working to address patching for Windows 10, Server 2016, and Server 2019 machines that my office manages. Our RMM tool has been able to apply patches to many machines,
however I have also configured targeted scripts to roll out the patches faster, to cover more ground. In doing so, I have found that there seem to be quite a number of machines that are not successfully patching. This includes various builds of Windows 10,
of which each has it's own patch. Is anyone else having issues getting Windows 10 machines patched for CVE-2020-0601 on a mass scale?

Sure a lot easier than following 17 steps !

Any idea when the new Patch for the new problem will be available ?

Will it be posted here ? Where ?

Windows 10 update July 2017

Hello Meg,

it will tell you it was they last update on the computer. It should be the first recover option on the list, I only had one option to select.

Although my backup date was July 17, 2017.

Yours may be similar?
