    I can't connect My Phone and transfer files its say USB Device Not Recognized


    Can I know Why I try to connect my phone its say the last USB device you connected to this computer is malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it laptop. I even can't update my windows . Someone please explain to me . Thank You

    Some USB Devices not recognized in Windows 10

    Hi have Windows 10 Pro insider preview 10532 64bit Pro Intel i7 desktop PC.

    I have multiple USB devices connected, USB 3 & 2. The USB HDD is working however my Samsung phone and kindle are no longer being recognized. The steps followed so far:

    • Uninstalled all USB devices in device manager including controllers
    • Flashed BIOS to latest version
    • Updated USB drivers for the devices from manufacturers sites
    • Tried new USB cables

    Please note: both devices are recognized by my Windows 10 Lenovo laptop.

    I really don't want to fresh install, please suggest any diagnostics I can try.

    USB Device not recognized when I try to connect my windows Phone to Windows 7 OS

    I have Samsung Focus when I am trying to connect to my laptop using USB for music and pic transfer my system is not recognizing my phone.

    Its throwing me an error message saying USB Device not Recognized. I tried in 2 different laptops its throwing me the same error even I tried using other USB cable made from HTC . I tried some factory resetting also. dint work for me

    If any of you guys please help me I am unable to travel in my transit with out some songs...

    You may receive this error if one of your USB connected devices is not properly recognized by the system. Let's try the troubleshooting steps provided by

    In addition, we suggest that you turn off the notifications from the USB by following these steps:

    • Open Settings by typing "settings" in Cortana's search box.
    • Click on Devices.
    • Locate USB and toggle the switch to Off.
