    Windows 2004 Update - Background turned Black & User Login Icon is Not Transparent


    After installing 2004 Update, restarting, and shutting down from login screen, the user icon used for the login screen and start menu is not transparent. It also lost track of the background, theme color setting if any, which had to be reverted. I am still testing to see how to fix the icon issue.

    Transparent PNG background becomes black

    After I installed Windows 10, my transparent PNG backgrounds in Photo Gallery gets black. First they are transparent, but when I close the Gallery and then opens it again, the pictures have a black background. Piece of ****....Can't it be fixed?!

    Background of transparent images are black in explorer

    I have a folder of icons that I use for my design work and after moving to Windows 10, the explorer shows black background where it should be transparent/white. It makes working very hard especially when icon itself is primarily dark colors. Please suggest
    a fix to change colors.

    Transparent Start menu icon background?


    On the start menu each application / file has an associated icon. Unfortunately it appears that Windows 10 is using the accent color as the icon's background. So I get squares of color with the icon in the middle. There are screen shots from Windows 10 previews that show the icon backgrounds as transparent, or at least matching the background color of the start menu. But with transparency turned on, the icon backgrounds are not transparent, but instead the accent color.

    It is as if Microsoft said "Hey - ALL icons should be SQUARE - so we will make all icons SQUARE just like tiles, whether you like it or not".

    Bleh. So - how does one make the start menu icon background color transparent?
