    EFI partition mounting on startup

    So one time I decided to mount the EFI partition for testing purposes.

    Alright. Next day I start up my PC and the partition is still there. That's weird. I successfully removed the drive letter with diskpart. So I made a startup script to do that but that isn't a permanent solution. First of all, I have to grant admin every time I start up my PC, second is startup items slow down your boot times. So the question is pretty simple, is there any fix?

    :)

    Can the EFI partition be briefly and safely mounted?

    Can the EFI partition be briefly and safely mounted? Am I correct that mountvol p: /s will mount the EFI partition to drive letter p? Does mounting the EFI partition create a security issue for the pc?

    Can the EFI partition be briefly and safely mounted?

    -> Yes, if your BIOS supports it.

    Am I correct that mountvol p: /s will mount the EFI partition to drive letter p?

    -> Yes, but I do not know what the /s switch should do.

    Does mounting the EFI partition create a security issue for the pc?

    -> No

    EFI partition mounting on startup

    Move EFI partition

    its to enable win 10 to update to its anniversary edition.. it cant do this due to lack of C drive space i have had a quick try with the trial version of easus.. it didnt seem to be able to do what i want..

    i am assuming i cant just delete the efi partition but maybe i could.. as yet i havnt even figured out how to get into the bios of the thing.. maybe that should be my next step.. *Smile EFI partition mounting on startup :)

    diskpart could probably do it but figuring out how (it aint that user friendly) might be difficult without step by step instructions..
