Is it possible to prevent the domain user from obtaining information with Get-ADUser
via Powershell?

 

PowerShell is open sourced and is available on Linux/macOS

while it wasn't hard to get ssh into powershell a native implementation is welcome.

i'll be curious to see the how porting commandlet functions into linux comes along.
and then that begs the question do i really want to let our linux admins be able to script modifications to exchange....

thank you for providing this question.

I am a seasoned Windows expert with almost a decade in usage and support experience and hope to resolve your problems quickly.

As the command is just a construction of other commands and essentially runs in other services aswell as powershell as a part of system infrastructure this is not possible. Even if you could simply disable this command what would stop the user to link any number
of powershell commands to build his own Get-AdUser. The problem is therefor not with the command but with the users access rights. When the user can access the AD for user information of others then you need to change that not restrict his access to the command.
