Windows 10: Windows 10 not recognizing pin after reboot to safe mode

So my PC installed updates last Friday to Windows automatically which caused problems with system stability. It would keep rebooting while in use and got various blue screen error messages which included "IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL" and "KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE". I went into the system typed in mscofig to restart in safe mode without networking. When the computed loaded the option pin did not exist. It indicating something happened and your pin isn't available.








Its requesting to input the password which I didn't remember so I went to reset the password through account recovery. However my pc does not accept this new password as networking is turned off. Is there a work around for this? I don't want to reinstall Windows

Windows 10 Safe Mode PIN Failure

When attempting to log in to Windows 10 in safe mode, my PIN is not recognized.

I have no idea how I managed to get back to booting into regular mode, but it was scary.

Why won't Windows 10 recognize my PIN while in safe mode? I tried both the number key pad and the regular keyboard numbers. Num lock was on, but I tried both ways.

 

Stuck in safe mode in windows 10

Safe mode is intended to help fix most, if not all problems within an operating system, it's not good if we got stuck on it. To correct this, we suggest that you follow the steps below to exit out of Safe mode:

• Open Run command by pressing Windows key + R
  keys on the keyboard and type msconfig in the command box and press
  Enter.
• Under General tab, put a check on Normal Startup option.
• Reboot the system and check if the changes are effective.
