Hello Xbox fans! Weâre excited to share something weâve been working on for a long time: the all-new Microsoft Store on Xbox. Far more than a typical app update, weâve rebuilt the experience from the ground up to be faster, safer and easier to use than ever before. Weâre obsessed with getting it right for customers, and we canât wait for you to see what weâve been working on.

Faster

The new Microsoft Store on Xbox is more than twice as fast as before. It launches in under two seconds, and the browse performance is greatly improved â itâs faster than ever to load pages and find what you need, whether itâs checking out a sale price or watching HD trailers.

The Microsoft Store on Xbox makes it easier than ever to discover what youâre looking for, whether you want to try out a gaming membership like Xbox Game Pass, find a specific title or DLC, or access an app, movie or TV show. View trailers inline while you search and browse (or turn on autoplay for the most seamless experience), easily see which games your friends are playing, and get information about discounts and offers at a glance.

Easier

Our goal is to provide an inclusive and intuitive experience for everyone, and weâre committed to making it easier than ever to find your next favorite game, app, movie, or TV show. This starts with a fully redesigned navigation system, allowing you to jump between shopping experiences in a snap or deep dive into something specific.

In order to improve ease of use, weâve revisited and refined a few features and functionalities:

With the redesigned search functionality, itâs easier to filter your results.

Guided by your feedback, we rebuilt the Wish List. You can now easily add new games to your Wish List and quickly check your list content (including keeping tabs on any sale pricing for your Wish List items).

The updated shopping cart makes it easier to add items to your cart as well as view the items in your cart before and during purchase.

Weâve also made it easier than ever to shop across four generations of great Xbox content by enabling customers to view pricing while browsing for new Xbox One games and backward compatible Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles, as well as add these games to your Wish List or shopping cart.

Safer

Weâve also been working hard to make sure that the Microsoft Store on Xbox is the best place for families to shop for gaming and entertainment. To help parents ensure that their children are interacting with appropriate content, customers must be signed in to their Xbox account before browsing. Being signed in also helps you have a more personalized experience â youâll see content that is more relevant for you.

Similarly, weâve made improvements to the way content is filtered to align with the family settings applied to child accounts. With this update, we ensure that content rated beyond a userâs content filter level does not appear anywhere in search or browse experiences. This means that a child with content filters set for an 8-year old will not be able to view content in the store that is rated for a teenager, for example. The update also guarantees that content filters are applied even when multiple users are signed in. It also makes it easier for parents or caregivers to grant exceptions to restrictions for particular games, movies, or TV shows they may allow their family members to have access to. Youâll see content ratings more clearly surfaced: All trailers start with a consistent ratings pre-roll, ratings information is always clearly shown at the top of game details pages, and persisting age ratings information shows up all the way through the purchase process.

How to participate

Weâll be rolling this update out gradually, so if youâre an Xbox Insider, you may begin to see the new Microsoft Store on Xbox starting as early as August 5; the experience will be available for more Insiders over time before it rolls out to all users this fall. If you encounter any issues, please submit feedback via Report a problem (hold down the Xbox button on your controller and select Report a problem from the power menu). Xbox Insider Hub does not appear in the Microsoft Store

Hi,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?

Have you signed in using the Microsoft account?

Are you able to search for other apps on the Microsoft Store?

However, you may follow these steps to check if that helps.

Step 1: Suggest you to run the apps troubleshooter to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store.

Step 2: You can also try to manually
download the Xbox Insider Hub from the link.

Updated Shopping Cart and Wish List coming to the Microsoft Store

We work hard to improve the shopping experience in the Microsoft Store, and are always looking for ways to improve the discoverability and purchase of the products and services we sell. Today, we are excited to announce that customers can begin using our improved Shopping Cart and later this week, our new Wish List– two of the most-requested features from our fans.

Shopping Cart

As we mentioned previously, we’ve extended the existing Shopping Cart to work with games and apps for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Today, the feature is once again available for testing. Whether you’re shopping for games or apps for Xbox One and/or Windows 10 PCs, hardware or accessories, the improved Shopping Cart means you only have to go through checkout once.

How to add a game or app to the Shopping Cart:

Head to the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 PCs, online or on Xbox One (Xbox Insiders only)

Navigate to the product details page for the item you wish to add to your cart

Look for the “Add to Cart” button underneath the “Buy” button

Select the “Add to cart” button

To view your Shopping Cart, select the “Shopping Cart” button at the top of the Store navigation

To remove an item from your Shopping Cart, navigate to that particular item on your Shopping Cart, and select “Remove”

Ready to check out? Click on the “Checkout” button to the right of your cart to complete your order.

Not ready to purchase a particular item? Navigate to that item in your Shopping Cart and select “Save for later.” We’ll remove that item from your cart and save it in a handy location right below the Shopping Cart itself for future reference.

Additionally, the updated Shopping Cart is persistent and works across Microsoft Store on Xbox One, Windows 10 PCs, and online. So, if you add or remove an item from your cart in one store, those changes will be reflected in the others.

Xbox Insiders can begin using the improved cart today, and shortly after Windows Insiders can begin testing the feature. In a few weeks, all customers using the Microsoft Store on Xbox One, Windows 10 PCs and online can start using it.

Wish Lists

Later this week, customers can begin using the new Wish List feature, which supports all physical products and digital games and apps in the Microsoft Store. The persistent and works across the Microsoft Store on Xbox One, Windows 10 PCs and online, so if you’re shopping on the Microsoft Store on your Xbox and add a digital game to your wish list, that game will appear in your Wish List in the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 PCs and online.

is also supported within the Wish List, so customers will quickly be able to see when items on their Wish List go on sale.

How to add items to your Wish List:

Head to the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 PCs, online or on Xbox One (Xbox Insiders only)

Navigate to the product details page for the item you wish to add

Look for the “Wish List” button underneath the “Buy” button

Select the “Wish List” button

To view your Wish List, activate the pull-down menu at the top of the Store navigation, and select the “Wish List” option

To remove an item from your Wish List, navigate to that particular item on your Wish List, and select “Remove”

A customer’s Wish List can be kept private or made public and shared with others.

How to share a Wish List:

Click on the “Settings” link in the wish list

Select “Make the wish list public”

Then, click on the “Share” button to share with friends and family

Note: On Xbox, customers will be able to share their public wish list with a list of their Xbox Live friends.

The Wish List feature will be initially be made available to all customers in all supported markets using the Microsoft Store on Windows 10 PCs and online, as well as to our Xbox Insiders. The Wish List will be available to all Xbox customers in a few weeks.

And we’d like to give a special shout out to our Xbox and Windows Insiders who tested the previous iteration of the new cart.
