I've went through so many sites but didn't find any proper answer. I want to play csgo in 1024x768(4:3) but in borderless windowed mode.

When I chose borderless window mode in csgo setting it doesn't let me change the resolution. I have to set window mode to fullscreen to change resolution but when I select 1024x768(streched) in fullscreen mode I get screen tearing in game with around 200fps. To get rid of the screen tearing I had to turn on vsync which costed me my fps. I'm getting 60fps now. But in borderless window mode I don't get any tearing but I have to play in 1366x768(19:6)

The trick that I do is, before running csgo whenever I want to play, I change my resolution in nvidia control panel from 1366x768(19:6) to 1024x768(4:3 strechted) then launch the game in borderless window mode. I don't get any screen tearing and I play in the resolution that I want without turning vsync on.

But it is very disturbing to change screen resolution everytime I launch the game then change again to 19:6 after closing the game. I just want to automate this work. Is there anyway I can do it? then how? Is there any third party software that does it?

    TIA

  2. specific screen resolutions for specific programs

on previous versions of windows, one could choose the screen resolution for specific programs or apps. I cant find it in windows10, all I can find in it's place is one screen resolution option "640 x 480" and after a long time of searching for other ways
to do this, it's too time consuming...

was that setting moved or gotten rid of?

640 x 480 is way too small of a resolution for what I need. My 1440p display is too large for the programs I am using and some have settings that I can easily and quickly change In the settings, but many do not. Also searching each folder with no clue which
one contains the resolution is only successful a fraction of the time.

If there is no solution for windows 10, I have an nvidia video card, if there is a way to do it on that? please let me know, I haven't found it yet on that either.

I know that I can go into the settings of windows10 and change the resolution for everything as a universal setting and same for the nvidia video card, but it gets old and I cant always get the resolution that I want or I have to play around with it each
time to get it right again. ( because I don't remember the resolution I used before)

Im looking for preset resolutions for individual apps and programs., so I can spend the time to get the resolution that looks best once and be done with it and not have to test and correct it everytime.

thanks your help will be greatly appreciated.

How can I change the resolution for a specific program?

I don't think you can do that. You can select the program.exe file, go to the Properties / Compatibility tab and select "Disable DPI scaling on high dpi settings". You can also select "Run in 640x480 screen resolution" but that will be too large.

How can I change the resolution for a specific program?

My default resolution is 1920x1260 but I have one program that runs best at 1260x1028. How can I set it up so the resolution changes when I run that program then changes back when it ends?
