  1. Not able to delete drive

    Hi,

I have 3 partitions on my disk C, D & E. Previously windows were installed on partition E, now it is installed on partition C. Now I am trying to delete the partition E but it is not allowing me to delete it. This could be because E partition is the primary partition & it is a boot partition too. Now I would like to move boot partition from E to C. How do I do it?

    :)

    Suggestions for Maps/Drive

    Some more suggestions

    - When you set a destination in drive, you should be able to set an address which is existing in the contact list

    - You should be able to view all step by step navigations. right now you are not able to see complete direction steps.

    Deleting or Formatting a Partition

Once you are able to reinstall windows please indicate the steps that you made to clean the drive and install Windows 10. The steps that are usual are in post #8 and essembe displayed them in post #20. Did they fail again? If you try diskpart again let us know the fail error. Were you able to use the steps that Kyhi listed?

    Not able to delete drive

Unable to delete a folder - Invalid folder name

    Suggestion:
    1. Run chkdsk x: /r to make sure that there's no HD corruption.
x: is the drive containing the folder you want to delete.
    2. Try to delete the folder again. If still does not work, go to step 3.
    3. Download: Download - Linux Mint and create a bootable USB using: Rufus - Create bootable USB
    4. Boot up with Linux Mint and try to delete the folder again.
NOTE: Unlike WinPE. Linux does not have any Windows permission imposed to it so it is easier to delete.
