  2. No Sound Through Headphones

Hello! I've already read through many of the similar questions on this forum, however none of the solutions seem to work.
Sound comes through perfectly fine on my laptop's built-in speakers. However, when plugging my headphones into the 3.5mm headset jack, there is no sound whatsoever. The system recognizes that my headset is plugged in. In fact, the microphone on my headset functions perfectly when plugged in, but the headphones themselves are outputting no sound.
I tested the headphones on other computers and devices, and they work.
In Device Manager, the device is listed as "Realtek High Definition Audio". However, the only sound device listed in Control Panel is "DTS Audio Control Panel".
I've tried uninstalling the audio device from Device Manager, and then reinstalling the driver from Realtek's website.
However, this is met with the exact same results... no sound through the headphones, and "DTS Audio Manager" is installed in the Control Panel instead of Realtek HD Audio Manager.
If I navigate to Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback, "Headphones" is not listed as a device. Instead, Speakers/Headphones is listen as the sole device.
Also, I ran DirectX Diagnostic Tool, and it returned absolutely no errors.
I have posted screenshots and a few of my system specifications just in case.
    Thank You!

    No sound through headphone jack

I recently took my desktop in to fix issues I was having with cortana and the start menu. The resolved the issue, but now sound won't play through my headphones. They worked just fine before I took it in. As a workaround I've plugged my headphones into the
    rear jack.

I've gone to the control panel and tested the device and the "ding" noise came just fine. I think the front jack is supposed to be set as the default device, but it's stuck as the default communications device and it won't let me change it. I've read people
mentioning things about reinstalling drivers, but I don't know how to do that kind of stuff. I've spent several hours already trying to fix this so I would be very open to suggestions.

No sound from headphone jacks after Windows 10 Creator Update

After Windows 10 updated with the Creators Update last night, my earbuds now have no sound. (They were fine yesterday.)

They plug into the laptop's 3.5 mm headphone jacks. I've unplugged and plugged into both of the available headphone jacks.
If I unplug the earbuds, the sound is fine out of the laptop's speakers.
The earbuds work fine with another device. I've tried another set of earbuds.
The sound isn't muted and the level is not set low.
I've tried a number of output types (iTunes, Youtube, the PC warning sounds themselves), and none come through the earbuds.
I've looked for driver updates (none available) and have done the sound troubleshooting.

    Any ideas?
