Windows 10: Does oem modify windows's source code or it's core components to offer a Special Version of...

My laptop's in warranty wifi card has a hardware problem and I want my laptop's vendor to replace it with a new one, but my vendor's support deined that it's going to be a software problem because I reinstalled Windows 10 and they will not replace my wifi card. They says I am not using the "Original Windows 10 installation from them" which they clams "This version of Windows 10 has be customize to fit <vendor>'s laptops", therefore, they are just going to reinstall my Windows to their special version of Windows.


This is definitely a hardware problem because this wifi card does not work anywhere. And obviously, that so called "Special Windows 10" is just a pice of bull plus SOME WORD START WHIH S to fool people. Windows is closed source and is protected by Microsoft's license and oem's original Windows installation is soething just have some addtional drivers which you can download from their website and install them by yourself too and some useless bloatwares.


They can't modify Windows in that way, don't they?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 serial on OEM


If you click on the listed product codes in show key it will XXX out most of it so your not posting your whole key. Do that first then take a screen shot. showkey should list the OEM embedded key and what specific version of Windows 8/8.1 its for. If it's the 'With Bing" version that's likely your issue. The MCT does not offer that version. I can't even get that version on MSDN. You need to go to the OEM for it. Or hunt it up on bit torrent, which is a bit risky.

 

Source to use for DISM on Windows 10

This is not completely true. The suggestion is to download the Techbench version and use DISM to apply to install.wim directly. However, you can also use the version download from MCT except it will involve an extra step as follows:

1. Use the latest version of 7-Zip to extract the content of install.esd. For example: to a folder xxx on the desktop
2. From Admin command prompt:
   Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\xxx\windows /LimitAccess

See screen shot, the contents of install.wim and install.esd are exactly the same.
