Watching PowerDVD safety instructions on DVD?

As of today, I get a security alert when I want to watch a movie with PowerDVD. Allegedly my certificate has expired or is not valid. But when I install the certificate and choose a folder, the same error message appears again. I have updated all drivers, reinstalled PowerDVD, even rebooted my laptop and nothing has improved. I am just reaching my limits. And when I click on "Exhibitor Declaration" I am redirected to a website (Comodo Cybersecurity), but I don't know what to do there. Only a list with the heading "Repository" appears.

Does anyone know what else I can do? It can't be because of my external DVD player, because I get the same error message when I try to play the DVD through the drive built into the laptop.

Network connection is inactive detected by CyberLink PowerDVD 17

Hi Renny, is CyberLink PowerDVD 17 trying to update in the Background?

That application is possibly reading your Internet connection incorrectly

If CyberLink PowerDVD 17 is successfully installed on your system, you can turn off the updater to get rid of this message . . .

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager

    Click on the Startup Tab

See if CyberLink PowerDVD 17 is listed there

If it is, select it and click 'Disable'

    Close Task Manager

Click your Start Button, type msconfig and hit Enter

When the System Configuration dialog opens, click on the Services Tab

Check the box marked 'Hide Microsoft Services'

In the remaining list see if CyberLink PowerDVD 17 is listed there, uncheck any you find

    Click Apply and OK

Restart your System and this annoyance will be gone . . .

  3. Instructions to change board?

Boot off of the windows CD, repair your XP partition (hopefully you won't have to reinstall windows), install drivers, and you're good to go. You'll see dual channel mode in the BIOS splash screen results from POST. It'll be pretty obvious *Stick Out Tongue Watching PowerDVD safety instructions on DVD? :p. Here's a list of general tweaks for the 939Dual-SATA2.
    Step one- Set time, date
Step two- In CPU settings, disable cool n quiet, set memory clock to DDR400, play with memory timings (CAS-TRAS-TRP-TRCD), which are listed in the bios in the order CAS, TRCD, TRAS, and TRP. EDIT- new BIOS's mess around with this order, can't be too sure on it, but yeah at least you know what the RAM timings stand for *Big Grin Watching PowerDVD safety instructions on DVD? :D.
Leave MA timing at 2T unless you think your system can handle 1T
Step three- in Chipset settings, enable onboard LAN, disable onboard Audio, disable AGP fast write, set primary graphics adapter, and set CPU-NB and NB-SB link speed to 1000mhz.
Step four- in IDE, disable controllers you aren't using. On all drives detected, enable SMART if you can and set PIO/DMA as high as they will go.
Step five- Enable legacy USB support
Step six- Set password if you're worried about anyone screwing around with your BIOS settings
Step seven- Configure your boot sequence. I reccomend hard drive first, optical drive second, and floppy drive third.
Step eight- Save changes, boot into XP, and enjoy your computer.

Family Safety seen not to be working

    Hi Roi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

Which Windows 10 build is installed on your computer?

I would suggest you to remove the child account from the family safety website and then add it again. Follow the below steps:

    • Login to the
      www.familysafety.microsoft.com
    • Remove the Child account.
    • Now from the Parent computer, open Settings.
    • Click on Accounts.
    • Select Family and other users.
    • Click on Add someone else to this PC.
    • Enter the Email address of the Child account which was removed.
    • Follow the onscreen instructions.
    • Now a verification email address will be send to the Child’s Email address.
    • Then login to the family safety website and then you can put the restrictions for the Child.
Hope this helps. Post back with the results so that we can assist you further.
