Windows 10: Start Menu, Action Centre, Windows Defender, Search, Cortana Network Flyout, and all UWP...

Hi,



Start Menu, Action Centre, Windows Defender, Search, Cortana Network Flyout, and all UWP appsCalculator,Mail,Photos,Microsoft Store Etc are not working


I am having this issue since 1 month and I tried everything that is on internet to solve this

like using PowerShell/command prompt , using SFC command, DISM command to check windows files etc but the only solution thatworks temporarily is resetting my pc or clean installing windowsbut even after doing that after a few days the problem comes back I even tried going back to Windows 10 1903 from Windows 10 2004 but the 1903 got broken once I restarted after installation

I have also tried to scan whole drive for virus/malware but there were none

Windows 10 UI elements (start menu, cortana, date/time, action centre) all not responding.

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

As you mentioned that you have issues with Start menu, Cortana, date/time, action centre I suggest you to follow the suggestions mentioned below:

• Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
  
• Click File > Run New Task
• Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  
• Type CMD

Type the following 2 commands at the Command Prompt:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

5. Close the CMD window.

Start menu tiles and Notification/Open Action Centre dissappeared!


Strange, my start menu left click that used to open the coloured start menu with 'tiles' has stopped working. I can only right click to access the 'grey' listing. If I do left click I see the blue spinning wheel for a couple of seconds but nothing appears.
Also the icon for 'New Notifications' has stopped as well, when clicked I used to see a slide out popup asking me if I would recommend W10 to a friend but not now. If I right click to 'Open Action Centre' nothing happens.

Any suggestions as to how to fix them?
