  1. 2 Network interfaces. I want One for All Traffic and Another Only for Plex

    Hi All

Not quite sure how to explain this but i have an Onboard Ethernet Port and i now have a PCI-E Ethernet Port.

Im on Windows 10 and What im wanting to do is Have all my Traffic Go through the Onboard Ethernet and NOTHING to go in or out of the PCI-E Ethernet Port Unless i specify. Anyway i can set this up? Its for Plex to have a Dedicated Ethernet Port with nothing else running on it

Edit: Heres a Paint Drawing of what im trying to Achievehttps://ibb.co/Rh5fnNJ

In Windows 10 how do you ensure all traffic goes through VPN?

These are 2 questions rolled into one.

I'm basically looking for a internet kill switch in the case VPN fails

@Moab's answer settles this question nicely.

What is the easiest way to ensure all traffic goes through the VPN in Windows 10?

Is there any built in ways?

This is a different question. Note that all traffic goes through the VPN has an implied "as long as the VPN connection is up". The built-in way to route Internet traffic over VPN will transparently fallback to the local Internet connection if the VPN gets disconnected for whatever reason.

That said, the following steps should answer the 2nd question:

    • right click the Start button, select Network Connections
    • click the VPN connection you want to use, right-click, select Properties
    • click the Networking tab, select IPv4 from the list, click Properties
    • click Advanced, make sure "Use default gateway on remote network" is checked
    • repeat previous step for IPv6 if applicable

Internet via one interface, local net via another on Windows 10?

I have a local net, 192.168.24.0/24, with various machines in it. My internet gateway is on 192.168.24.4.

On a Windows 10 box, I would like to accomplish the following:

    • all traffic going to 192.168.24.0/24 should use the wired network interface.
    • all traffic going to other IP's than 192.168.24.0/24 should use the wireless network interface.

    Is this doable?

2 Network interfaces. I want One for All Traffic and Another Only for Plex

How to measure the traffic on my internet line?

You would have to have all traffic go through a Proxy, such as a Raspberry Pi or another computer that can monitor the traffic and you can pull reports. Here is one project. Raspberry Pi OLED Internet Bandwidth Display: 3 Steps
