  1. MineCraft for PC approved by parental control, won't download.

My child is trying to purchase MineCraft on her Windows PC. She clicked "Buy" in the ms store and it prompted to ask for parental approval. This was done, and the parent approved the purchase. However, when we try to install the software, we now get a window that says "Working on it... It looks like this was approved. It should get added in a bit."... but then nothing gets added to the window, even over 24 hours later. How to proceed?

    :)

help! Parental controls not working - not allowing downloads that are set to be allowed

    Hoping someone can help me......

My daughter wanted to download Minecraft, and we agreed, so she purchased Minecraft from the MS store. We approved the purchase, and in her account, it shows that she purchased Minecraft successfully.

It won't, however, actually download. It's been sitting on 1K download for five days. We've had similar problems in the past, so we changed the parental controls to allow downloads of apps and games. And, we specifically provided approval when requested
    -- but yet, nothing.

We've rebooted, checked for updates, etc......still nothing.

    Any ideas?

Thanks! A very eager 10 year old appreciates anything you can offer.

There is no parental control for approving incoming emails for kids account?

Original Title: kids microsoft email accounts

Kids Accounts (WINDOWS 10) - There are no parental control for approving incoming emails for kids account. There are no pre-authorized setup option for kids email contacts. I thought perhaps only authorized individuals on the child's email list for sending
& receiving emailing messages both incoming and going would be under parental controls as a safety option. But, I ran a test and it seems anyone with access to the kid's email address can send that child an email. This is not safe at all. Emails can contain
inappropriate attachments from other kids as well. I thought perhaps parents had control and can setup an approved email contacts list and contents are preapprove by parents before it is visible to the child and vice versa for outgoing email as well. Devices
are controlled, and monitored in reports, however, who is controlling the authorization of contacts & contents to communicate on that device with that child??? as parents have no control options? I like the device monitoring with control offered. Perhaps,
I may have overlook something in the email safety for kids or is this really a standard email for all? We need control options over contacts for under a child's security and protection as well. Also, the Local account (without email option) does not ask
for an age. - I would suppose the entry might be regarded as an adult?

    Parental Controls aren't working

    Hi,

The issue could be because of corrupted files. I suggest you to delete the corrupted files yourself and see if it helps

to resolve the issue, please follow these steps:

    1) Make sure your children are signed out of any monitored accounts.

    2) Sign in with an administrator account and find the folder that contains the corrupted files.

There are two ways to do this. The easiest way is to enter the complete file path:

    • On the Start screen, type C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Parental Controls and press Enter.

    • If you’d rather open each folder individually, follow these steps:
    a. Go to This PC

    b. Open C:, open the
ProgramData folder, open the Microsoft folder, open the
Windows folder, and open the Parental Controls folder.

    3) Delete all contents of the Parental Controls folder.

This will delete any corrupt files. Your settings will be downloaded again from familysafety.microsoft.com the next time you sign in.

Hope it helps. Reply with the result and I'll be happy to help you further. Thank you
