Windows 10: every time that i sign in into the windows my Default programs going to reset back!!!

hello to all

i have a problem with my system that's every time that i sign in into the windows my Default programs going to reset back to before that i changes them!!! and i have to change them again and after every sign of for restarting or shutdowning the windows they go back to before.

plz help me if you can and tell me what to do for fixing this

Every time I restart or go into Linux then back to Windows it always resets and I have to update it via Internet. Why?

Is your time zone set correctly in the OS? The OS has the ability to change the CMOS clock, so if you didn't setup your Windows Time correctly, then it is defaulted to Pacific Standard Time. It could also be a CMOS battery issue...but usually your time AND date will reset...so you'll see 12:00, January 1, 1979 or similar if the clock is resetting from a bad CMOS. If you shut your PC down, unplug it from the wall for say like 10 minutes, then plug back in and boot into BIOS, is your time/date wrong?

 

Every download resets default apps.

I do CAD work, so I use a load of files download. I have Acrobat Pro for documentation. I just got a new Win10 machine at work.

I go through set up all my default programs for .pdf, .stp, .dwg, and a slew of CAD specific files.

I first noticed every time I download a mechanical drawing in .pdf format Win10 it would revert to MS Edge as the Default.

All the tech docs explain how to set a default file... yeah I know how to do it.... why is Win10 resetting my selected default.

So I change the default web browser to Chrome, frankly MS you couldn't pay me enough to use Edge.

Next down load both .pdf and .html reset to Edge.

Time to bring out the heavy artillery. I disable edge.

Next download was a .step file.

When I try to open Win10, there is no default app for .step files. Then I notice .pdf and .html files also have no default app.

Win10 is still is resetting all the default apps but since I disabled Edge it can't set the default app to Edge it just resets them to null as a default app.

This is a SERIOUS PROBLEM. Every download have to reset all the default apps.

It's hard to get any work done with Win10 resetting all the defaults apps every download.
