Windows 10: DVD tray opens automatically all the time - How to cancel this?

Hi,


I have Windows 10 laptop and the DVD tray opens automatically without being requested. I suspect this could be due to the recent windows updates.


Could you please advise how to resolve this issue?

DVD tray opens at startup - How to cancel this

When logging on to Win10 the question was asked what to do with the DVD player/tray at startup.

Stupid as I was I answered "Open".

"What a mistake to make"

"Now each time, when logging on my dvd tray opens and windows asks me to insert/load a DVD.



Q: How do I cancel/change this behavior?



I do not wish to open and load the DVD(tray) automatically each time I startup my computer.

This did not help.

Just to clarify, the DVD player works as expected, it is that each time that I logon, the file explorer opens the tray and asks to insert a CD/DVD ... "customization" ?

Kindly try the below steps and check if it helps.

• Locate the eject button near the disc tray. This button is usually directly to the left or right of the disc tray.
• Press the eject button firmly and quickly. The tray should slide open.
• Press the eject button a second time to close the disc tray.

If the above steps doesn't work try the below.

• Open This PC.
• Right click on DVD drive.
• Click on Eject to open the drive.

If this doesn't help, I suggest you to contact Toshiba support for further assistance.
