Windows 10: I can't find my High Defintions Audio Drivers in the device manager after a recent windows...

On the 8th of august I got a prompt to update Windows, I did and once finished it could not find the audio drivers and instead pretty much all sound came through the TV I have connected to the computer instead.

Fix sound problems

Try these steps ( ):

• 
  Open Start, enter Device Manager, and select it from the list of results. Under
  Sound, video, and game controllers, select your sound card, open it, select the
  Driver tab, and select Update Driver. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, look for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.
  
• 
  If those steps didn't work, try uninstalling your audio driver: open Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) the audio driver, and select
  Uninstall. Restart your device and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
  
• 
  If that didn't work, try using the generic audio driver that comes with Windows. Here's how: in
  Device Manager, right-click (or tap and hold) your audio driver >
  Update driver software... > Browse my computer for driver software
  > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, select
  High Definition Audio Device, select Next, and follow the instructions to install it.

High Definition Audio Device drivers missing

Hi Davide

The High Definition Audio drivers are built into Windows already

Right click that device in Device Manager, choose 'Update Driver

Then choose 'Browse my computer for Driver Software' - 'Let me pick from a list of available drivers'

If you do not see the default High Definition Audio device, untick 'Show Compatible Hardware'

On the left, select Microsoft, then on the right scroll down to find 'High Definition Audio Device Version 10.0. . . . .

 

I couldn't find realtek audio driver in device manager

I recently dowloaded realtek audio driver, but i can't find it in the device manager
