  1. Icons suddenly larger at recommended scaling.

I recently had Windows reinstalled on my laptop after a driver failed. After getting things set up, I noticed that my taskbar gets filled up faster. Eventually, I also noted that certain apps looked cramped and, in some cases, blurrier too. I've tried changing the scaling option in the Display options from the recommended 125% to 100%, but it's way too small. Attempting custom scaling almost fixes it, but it makes icons even blurrier.

    :)

New AOC U2879VF monitor, opening file explorer results in huge icons

    Hi Alex,

Since your display has a high resolution, Windows 10 will automatically set the scaling value to an appropriate percentage that's why the icons appear larger. Also, Microsoft recommends keeping your display resolution to the "recommended" value. If you prefer
your text, apps, and other items to be even bigger or smaller, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Click Start menu.
    • Click Settings.
    • Click System.
    • Choose Display and you can manually adjust it by clicking or dragging the slider.

Let us know how it goes after performing the steps above.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand that the fonts in Mail App are too small for you to read and you want to change the font size to larger than what it is now. We will help you.

This option for changing the fonts and icon size is not applicable for all the applications, but still you may follow the below steps and check if it helps you.

Check resizing the text and icons by dragging the scale of resize options.

    • Select Display. Select Advance Display setting.
    • Select Advance sizing to texts and other items.
    • Under Change size of other items, Select Set a custom scaling level (not recommended).
