  1. I/O process aborted during printing due to thread end/application request - what to do?

    Hello,

I'd like to print something. I have already turned the printer on and off twice, the laptop as well. When I want to print a PDF, nothing happens. Also in the printer queue no document lands! When I go to the printer settings and want to print a test page, this message appears:

The process could not be completed (error 0x000003e3)

The I/O process was aborted due to a thread thread or an application request.

What can I do? I have also removed the printer several times and added it again. It is not directly connected to the laptop but via the WLAN network. I am really desperate...

    Hope you can help me.
Thank you. Hope you can help me.

    :)

Is there a list of multi-threaded applications?

There has been a lot of talk about new CPUs with 8 (or more) cores capable of running 16 (or more) simultaneous instruction streams (threads). But this has a real benefit only of an application is multi-threaded, meaning it can split it's processing job up into multiple, simultaneous instruction streams that the CPU can process in parallel.

In the world of 3D product design and 3D printing this can make a huge difference - far greater than any difference due to CPU cycle time. But so far there are very few applications that can actually do multi-threading. It would be nice to see a list of apps that are multi-threaded, since these will run much faster than single threaded ones.

    Application aborts unexpectedly

I have a copy of Pinnacle Studio 22 from Corel that I am attempting to run under Windows 10.

Selecting the video files to be used in a project is done by clicking on an icon that loads a copy of Windows explorer on top of the application, from which the desired file(s) can be identified and then loaded by drag and drop.

However, as soon as the icon is clicked, the program aborts back to the desktop.
Since the process works fine on other PC’s the inference is that the problem must lie with the PC and not the Pinnacle software.

Can anyone suggest what kind of scenario might cause this behavior and what could be done to overcome it?

I have tried Corel customer support without success.

I/O process aborted during printing due to thread end/application request - what to do?

a request for device descriptor request failed

Maybe it's time to step back from the current efforts, and start over. I suggest you read over this excellent tutorial and try all of its steps: [Solved] Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) for Windows 10 - Driver Easy. The one that may provide you with some easy relief is the one where you uninstall the device whose descriptor is failing, reboot, and see what happens when device enumeration recurs during boot-up. If you're lucky, it will fix itself.
