Windows 10: Email / system virus Windows 10 / outlook 2013

Good morning.


On thursday 6th August we started to receive a number of malicious emails from our ionos mailboxes.


These emails are copies of emails we have previously received from a known sender.


Essentially, I will have received an email from a known sender at some point in the past. I have then received a copy of that email from an unknown sender which then has a .doc attachment which is obviously suspicious.


I have changed our mailbox passwords. this has not stopped the emails.


I have run both Windows Defender online and offline scans


I have also run a sophos free which has not detected any threats.


These are particularly dangerous as they are a carbon copy of an email i have previously received. meaning whatever is sending them has access to my or another users inbox.


any ideas? help? TIA

Outlook 2013 won't receive email after Windows 10 startup


After starting up Windows 10 from shutdown, Outlook 2013 freezes trying to receive email. If I restart Windows 10, Outlook works.

Interesting to note: The start up from shutdown is very quick--about 1 minute, but the restart takes between 3 - 5 minutes.

Are there any thoughts why this is happening and any suggested fixes?

 

Responding to Outlook 2013 emails using Cortana in Windows 10

I just got a new laptop running Windows 10 with Cortana.

I've been able to ask Cortana to send emails and dictated them, but I'd really like to be able to voice dictate emails I receive in Outlook 2013 using Cortana or other built-in dictation capability within Windows 10.

Is this possible? If so, how do I activate voice dictation in the compose window of an Outlook 2013 email?

 

Help Finding Specific versions of Outlook 2013

i have a customer running Zarafa and then recently upgrade from Windows XP 64bit to Windows 7 Professional 64bit and with that they also wanted Office 2013 Home and Business with that, it turns out that the email system they run called Zarafa needs a specfic version of Outlook 2013 to run, not "Click-to-Run" versions and the only versions i got and can find so far is the newest version, where i can't get the Contacts to show up in the "Address Book" but they are under "People" in Outlook 2013 which isn't good enough they wanted everything to work.

i hope you can help me find one of the versions so i can get this to work.
