Windows 10: Can't download or run new software on new Windows 10 laptop. How to resolve this?

Cleared cache, cookies. Turned off antivirus. Restarted.

The error message says something along the lines of "Link not recognized or unable to download".

I can download and run other files such as Jpeg.

New Laptop Windows 10 failed download

I have a new laptop that has Windows 8.1

I started to download Windows 10 as instructed and it then stopped and said that I have error 8024000B. I don't see that listed on the message boards as of yet.

The system says there are no more updates available, but now I cannot try to reload Windows 10, and there is no icon to reserve it.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Worth upgrading to Windows 10 with my laptop?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, by then all laptops have Windows 10 or other new OS when I buy a new laptop.
Everything runs fine now and I prefer not to re-install all my games and software.

To change the Account type follow the steps.

• 
  Press Windows + X, click on User Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on change your account type.
  
• 
  Select standard account.
  

To delete the account follow the steps.

• 
  Press Windows + X, click on User Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on Manage other Account.
  
• 
  Select the user account.
  
• 
  Click on Delete the account.
  

To create the new user account follow the steps.

• 
  Press Windows + X, click on User Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on Manage other Account.
  
• 
  Click on Add A new user in PC setting.
