    Hello,



    Since a couple of weeks my Bose QC35 loses most volume and stutters only when using it with my Windows 10 laptop.



    I know this is nothing new, and actually a relentless problem for years, and still unresolved. I didn't even have the problem until a couple of weeks ago. Using the same laptop with Windows 10 and the same Base QC35 for 4! years prior.



    I've read every single post on this on Windows, Lenovo, Bose, Broadcom my Bluetooth HW, and independent websites, mostly with the same solutions being repeated. Probably tried about 10-15 solutions, nothing worked.



    While trying different settings in Control Panel -> Sound I accidentally found that while I have the 'Sound' window open, and ONLY on the 'Recording' tab the audio works without stuttering. If I do something as simple as moving to another tab within the 'Sound' window the stuttering is back. I close the window...problem is back. This is insane. Now it looks like the problem doesn't have anything to do with actual settings, but a simple little window in Control Panel?!



    No need to repeat common solutions from other posts. Please drop some serious wisdom here specific to what I'm experiencing with this Control Panel window needing to be open on one specific tab.

  2. Stuttering audio playback with Bose QC35 bluetooth headphones

    Ive purchased the Bose QC 35 bluetooth headphones. They have been paired with my Windows 10 desktop. Audio plays with constant stuttering. I have updated Windows, audio drivers, and the headphones themselves.

    I have chosen the headphone profile (not headset profile) for audio playback.

    I have tried disabling all enhancements.

    I have unchecked allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.

    I have turned off hands-free telephony.

    When paired with my iphone the audio is fine. I tried my wife's Beats headphones and they stutter on Win 10 too, but on iPhone/iPad there's no stutter.

    Its obviously a Win 10 issue as i see other people have had the same issue, but there doesn't seem to be a fix.

    Can anyone help?

    Don't have Bose Bluetooth, wish I did. Mine are wired.

    Under method two, is this still applicable to your version of the software?

    Search high and low for actual screen shots / manual. No luck.

    I might also contact Bose, sounds like a glitch in app software. What kind of phone are you using with App and is up to date?

    I have the same issues with this
    post
    but the solution is not working for me. I can hear audio fine but Windows is not recognising the QC 35 II microphone so I can't use them for video conferences.



    • I'm running Windows 1909.
    • I've run Bose update and everything is up to date.
    • I've unpaid the headphones, uninstalled the Bluetooth drivers (Bose QC35 II, Bose QC35 II Avrcp Transport, and Bluetooth LE Generic Attribute Service), restarted the PC and re-paired
    • I've checked Microphone Privacy (so that apps can access the microphone).
    And it still doesn't work. Apparently it is an issue with the drivers which began in August 2019 with a Windows update. The headphones work fine on my Mac so I'm confident it is a windows driver issue. There are many other posts with similar issues.



    How can I fix this?
