    No Audio

    Hi,

    I need help on my laptop's audio. I have a Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05 Type82AU.

I have had this problem since Monday 10th of August, though I don't really know when it started. I wouldn't even have noticed it if I didn't try to play music thru the built-in speakers. Reason for this is, I'm always on my bluetooth headset for a few days. Anyway, the speaker icon is there, and can be toggled mute, lower or raise the volume, but no sound is coming out of the unit. See below for reference.

Also, the mic is not working. Tried also connecting wired earphones to the audio jack. Still not working.

I tried to uninstall the Realtek Audio from the Device Manager under "Sounds, video and game controllers". No luck.

I found this one out in the Events tab.

I am not sure what to make out of "Device not migrated". My logical guess is that it's a bad driver? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I tried to reinstall audio drivers from Lenovo support page for my laptop model twy501af0and.exe, still a no.

I also tried to configure the speakers in the Control Panel, but it only give me an error message see below image.

Next, I tried to Stop, Start, and Restart Windows Audio in services.msc. It didn't work.

I found this under it's Dependencies. I don't know if it has any bearing to my problem. Just putting everything out there to lessen the back and forth of questions.

    To summarize,

    What doesn't work:

    - It has no audio thru it's built-in speakers

    - The mic is also not working

    - I have tried hooking up a headset thru the audio jack, and it wasn't also working

    What works:

    - Bluetooth headset

    - A headset connected via PS4 controller that is connected to a USB port

    What I've already done:

    - Uninstall the Realtek Audio in Device Manager under "Sound, video and game controllers" and restarted the laptop. Didn't work.

    - Installed the audio drivers from the Lenovo support page. Didn't work.

    - Tried system restore only restore point is from the night of 10th of August, from when I realized the audio was not working. Didn't work.

    - Stop, Start, and Restarted Windows Audio in services.msc. Didn't work.

I am on the latest BIOS efcn38ww, latest Intel updates, latest NVIDIA drivers for GTX 1650 451.67, and latest Windows updates see below for reference on Windows driver updates as of 11th August 2020. By the way, I am on Windows 10 2004 and have no way to rollback as the system updated 30th of July.

I literally don't know what to do anymore. I hope someone can help me.

    :)
