    Blue Screen of death - Skype app - Domain joined computer


    Hi all,


    We have an issue with BSOD on our computers that we bought few months ago. We installed Windows 10 Pro build 18363, drivers are up to date, windows updates are regularly deployed via SCCM.

    BSOD appears mainly when users start embedded Skype App that came with Win 10, but sometimes even when users enter their username and password and click sign in on starting computer/laptops.


    Computers/laptops are from Dell/HP/Lenovo.


    From dump log we can see that driver that coused BSOD is :

    ntoskrnl.exe


    Also, when we log on laptops via local users, we don't experience BSOD.


    Anyone with same issue?

    Blue screen of death error can be caused either by hardware failure or software compatibility. To help you resolve the blue screen of death issue, we would like to get more information:

    • Were there any changes made prior to the issue?

    Join Windows 10 PC to a Domain  


    I just checked an RS3 PC already domain-joined (the RS3 I was checking earlier was not yet joined to anything), and there are no blue links for it either, strongly suggesting that MS lets you only do one or the other.

    What I should try is doing an Azure AD join (any method) and then doing a domain join via the old UI. That may be a loophole.
