Windows 10 2004 update issue causing explorer to fault with an error in ucrtbase.dll

After installing Windows 10 2004 update, domain joined accounts experience a looping login error where the screen just flickers black. This does not occur with local accounts when logged in. Checks in the event log show that explorer.exe faulting as a result of the ucrtbase.dll component. Unable to boot computer all the way into that profile. Recreation of the profile does not fix the issue. SFC /SCANNOW doesn't fix the issue either. Attempts at clearing caches don't work as well.

    Any ideas?

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

D3dx9_30.dll Not Found error in Ashes Cricket 2009

Important Note: Do not, under any circumstances, download the d3dx9_30.dll DLL file individually from any "DLL download site." There are a number of different reasons that downloading DLLs from these sites are never a good idea.
