Windows 10: Lenovo Flex 5 14 Ryzen 4500u brightness control breaks after sleep in windows 10

I recently purchased a Lenovo Flex 5 14 inch laptop, with the AMD Ryzen 4500u. And I've had an issue with brightness control breaking after the computer sleeps. I've adjusting power settings in windows, Lenovo software settings, and AMD display driver settings, and nothing has fixed this issue.

Brightness control no longer works after closing the laptop screen, or the computer enters sleep otherwise. I have been unable to find a solution to this, only a reboot brings control back.

So basically after sleep, the brightness will be at or near max, but then can not be dimmed again until after a reboot. Although the display will turn off completely when pressing the display dim shortcut key enough. But the fine adjustments between off and full brightness do not work after sleep. Hibernation does not break the brightness control, only sleep.

A search shows that other laptops have had this issue, and one solution was to close the screen again, and control would reset again. That does not work on my computer.

I've been looking for a solution for a few weeks now. I don't know if this is an issue with Windows 10, Lenovo, or a hardware driver issue. My computer currently has the latest windows updates, as well as official AMD graphic driver. Lenovo's update program, called Lenovo Vantage, shows that I'm running the latest BIOS and drivers.

I am having the same issues since I updated to Windows 10.

Even the backlight on Flex 2 keyboard is not working and Lenovo services center in Hong Kong is clueless about it.

Thanks for responding. I followed steps suggested by you but this is the end result. There is no 'Allow the screen to auto rotate'
option on the screen as you see in the screenshot.

Plus, as you asked for, my laptop model number is Lenovo Flex 2-14 (20404).

Kindly resolve this issue asap. It is so irritating to have a facility and not using it cuz of some windows issue.

Handwriting in windows 10 on Lenovo Flex 2-14

Short n sweet answer. Hope it gets fixed really soon as it has rendered my flex 14 practically useless for handwriting. Windows 10 is good but so annoying at some of the areas where windows 8.1 was so great. Poor microsoft. Fixes some and breaks many.
