    Open envelope icon on W10 lockscreen confusion


    This open envelope icon in the lower left of the Lock Screen is only visible when the computer is locked. There is usually a number associated with it, which I'd originally suspected was related to unread or new Outlook emails, but when opening Outlook (which I hardly use) there aren't any. What else could the icon and numerals represent?

    1. Open Microsoft Word.
    2. Go to the Mailings ribbon
    3. In the Create group, click on Envelopes

    cannot erase icon with envelope on bottom of screen

    The envelope icon is an email. So open all your email inboxes in order to clear this icon.

    how make open shell start menu icon overwrite w10 start menu

    I installed Open Shell 4.4.142. No change.

    Any other suggestions?

    Mouse Hover (under Control Tab) does nothing. I hover over the W10 Start menu icon and nothings happens.

    Then I changed all options to Open-Shell Menu. Nothing changes.

    I want the W10 start menu icon replaced by the Open Shell menu like it worked for classic shell in W7.
    I do not even want to see the W10 start menu.

    Any other suggestions?
