Cannot access recovery tools in Win 10

Hi, my laptop's stopped booting into Windows and I've been stuck in the "preparing automatic recovery" loop for a while. I cannot get into any recovery options at all, as when I try hard rebooting multiple times, it will go back to automatic recovery.

It will also not boot from my USB key with recovery media on it, which I have confirmed works with a different computer. I've reinstalled the media twice, formatted in NTFS and FAT, made sure the laptop boots using the USB first, and I have no other in-depth options to control how the laptop boots up.

I can't even begin to try fixing this because the recovery tools are proving impossible to access, does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    :)

  2. access BIOS settings in Win 10

I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?

    • The procedure to restore your phone using Windows Device Recovery Tool is as follows:
    1. Connect the phone to your PC (using the USB cable that came with the phone).
    2. After a few seconds the PC should find the phone and you'll see the Phone Selection screen. Click your phone in this screen to select it.
    3. The latest available firmware version for your device will be shown. Click the 'Install software'/'Reinstall software' button to flash your phone
Windows Device Recovery Tool will then download and install the latest firmware + OS available for your phone.

Note: Your phone will be reset to factory status when using this tool.
