    kb4569751 breaks my network printing

With kb4569751 installed, I cannot print to my networked Kyocera M5526cdw; possibly in combination with kb 4565351. Confirmed by uninstalling both which restored functionality. I suppose a change of network/printer settings could resolve it also, but I have no idea where to start. Anyone?

Microsoft continuing update snafus are a real problem; making me think of switching to Apple.

    :)

  2. Unable to print to a network printer when connected to both wireless and wired networks

    Hi Eileen,

    • As far as i'm aware nothing has changed
    • i have only tried to send test pages to the network printer so im assuming so yes
    • wireless printer works fine when connected to both networks. However the wifi doesn't connect auto when an Ethernet connection is established this has to be manually connected.
    I have tried the following:

    • updated the print driver
    • changed the network port it was plugged into
    • ran windows updates
    • configured with a static
    • changed the wifi and Ethernet priority
I will run through the trouble shoot steps as suggest and come back to you.

FYI - he has a number of extenders dotted around, a collegue mentioned it could be a subnet issue?

    thanks, Ben

  3. Windows 10 Pro and Ergnomic Break Reminder

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

Do you remember installing any break reminder software?

It looks like it is a pop up from a break reminder software.

I suggest you to look for this in Programs in features and uninstall it if do not use it.

    Try the following steps:

    • Press Windows + R keys to open Run Command

    • Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter

    • Search for the programs and un-install it.

    Regards,

    Network Printing Not Working

This page talks about older versions of Windows but may be of help:
How to Configure a Print Server: 5 Steps (with Pictures) - wikiHow
I haven't set up a computer as a Print and File Server since the late '90s [in a shop I worked in], trying to recall if it was a Win95, Win98 or Win98SE machine but it was on a WinNT 4 Network. The printer was an HP Laserjet 4, used the Parallel Port.
