Windows 10: Free Space

I have a 500Gb SSD drive and checking the storage in settings it told me that the drive had 476Gb which I understood of which 367Gb were used and 109Gb were free. Hoping to free up some space and not wanting to delete my pictures or Music, I decided to tidy up my folders and files. I have a folder with all the applications I have downloaded, presently and in the past some of which were not use, these taking up about 8Gb of space so I decided to transfer these to a USB stick. Having done this I then deleted the folder and all its contents and emptied the recycle bin and to my amazement instead of an increase in free space it actually dropped to 102Gb free. I have tried disk clean up etc and now it has dropped to 101Gb free in one day .... WHY?

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
• Click OK.

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• What is the exact error message that you're getting when performing an update?

Moving Unallocated Disk Space to End of Disk

Was commenting on the pic in post #21. Not suggesting anything. It just looked like the step you were doing was incomplete.
