  2. 'Host Process for Windows Services' in Volume Mixer

Something called Host Process for Windows Services shows up in Volume Mixer sometimes, and the bit that shows how much sound its making (the green bit) copies other programs. I can't hear things twice but it is there. I can mute it and everything is fine.
I have run multiple malware scans all showing nothing. Does anyone know if this is normal or some kind of malware?

Also - Sometimes I hear a message tone, which happens rarely but always when I hear it Host Process for Windows Services is there.

  3. 'Host Process for Windows Services' in Volume Mixer

The issue has happened more and more recently and now it seems to happen at least once per day when I'm using my computer, usually around 9-10 pm. I don't know when exactly it started happening as I just thought it was a messaging program or Skype or something,
but the same sound happens every time. In Task Manager, details, there is a lot of things called 'svchost.exe' with the description of Host process for Windows Services which is the same name as in the Volume Mixer.
