    Hello !

My device always running on Win 8 - 32 Bit with high performance

Recently , I want to try windows 10

During Installation , I was stun that I downloaded 64 bit , Not 32 bit

Whatever , I found my device match requirement of 64 Bit Ram 2 GB , Partition C: 40 GB

So , I keep on Installation of 64 Bit any way , to try 64 bitfor the first time

    But ..

First , the Installation took a longtime , longer than usual

Second , the performance is very slow , Compared to 32 Bit

    Any way

I decided to downgrade to Win 10 32 Bit

After downloading the iso and burn it to USB , PC Can't boot from USB , and freezing on the boot screen

I tried a solution in internet , to Open the setup.exe from directory Drive:/Resources but Error message appeared

Use the other installation disc that says 64-bit.

Trying another windows win 8 pro 32 Bit , the same result , Boot screen freezing or Error message

I can't continue with bad performance with 64 bit

    I can't downgrade to win 8 or win 10 32 bit

Please help step by step to downgrade !

  2. How can I install Windows 10 32-bit disc on Windows 8.1 OEM 64-bit with embedded key?

    Background

Two months ago, one of my cousin bought a Lenovo Ideapad 100 notebook with Windows 8.1 single language OEM preinstalled on it. The notebook uses BIOS key to activate OEM genuine license.

Yesterday, he asked me how to upgrade his license to Windows 10 without downloading the installation media on his side, since every attempt he had taken to update on his own from internet were failed/stopped abruptly at low percentage progress (his internet provider might be slow, unable to deal longer with large files). Then he want to lend my Windows 10 media disc (of course without key) by agreement.

However, I realize that the disc used on my early-upgraded PC is suitable for 32-bit version of Windows 7/8/8.1, while the target system to upgrade has 64-bit version. We're in a hurry because Windows 10 free upgrade offer will end 2 days later.

    Problem Statement

On his remaining time to upgrade into Windows 10 license for free, I have these 3 alternatives to upgrade his current system:

    1. Install/upgrade with Windows 10 32-bit version I already have (compromising his OEM tools and probably also his OEM key),
    2. Obtain 64-bit version from Microsoft site on my side (I afraid the upgrade may not execute immediately before time limit ends, consider more than 2 GB amount to download a proper media),
    3. Buy a 64-bit version disc from nearest store then use it on target system (costs some amount of money which I should avoid this as I could).

I prefer the first choice since it requires less time and effort than others, but how I can upgrade it with his embedded key to obtain Windows 10 license as soon as possible?

Any kind of suggestions will be appreciated.

    Windows 10 Upgrade 32-bit to 64-bit

So, Windows 10 Upgrade is being rolled out worldwide, and I have 'reserved' my upgrade.

Currently my computer is running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. I'm planning to 'upgrade' it to Windows 10 64-bit (via fresh install, of course).

After reading many references, these will be the steps I'll do:

    1. Let the "Get Windows 10" app upgrade my OS to Windows 10 32-bit
    2. Note the activation key
    3. Download the Installation Media for Windows 10, but choosing 64-bit instead
    4. Perform a clean install
    5. Reactivate using the activation key in Step #2

(Of course I'll backup my data first.)

However, I still have some questions:

    1. On Windows 7, the activation key does not differ between 32- or 64-bit versions. Is it still so with Windows 10?
    2. Will I be able to download a different architecture on Step #3?
    3. Is there anything I need to prepare beforehand?

    Thank you for your assistance.

  4. Use the other installation disc that says 64-bit.

Windows 10 installs 32 bit from 64 bit media disc

So, recently I bought a Windows 10 activation code, with the intent to upgrade my non-activated Windows 7 64-bit Professional to Windows 10 64-bit via clean install from a media disc created from the provided Microsoft ISO file for 64 bit Windows 10. I
had a little trouble getting the disc to boot, but found my solution to that and got to the point to where I installed Windows. After I installed Windows, I checked my system settings and the like, and saw that it had actually installed 32-bit Windows. My
question is, is there any way for me to fix this, as in, making my 32-bit installation a 64-bit installation? I'm not sure why it installed 32-bit, as my computer can very much so support it. I downloaded the ISO from the program provided

    here
, and used a DVD Disc to make it a bootable disc. Also to note that when I dug through the ISO while trying to see why it wouldn't boot, I noticed that it only had bootia32.efi in the efi boot file, though I have no real clue if that's part of the problem.
My system specifications are as follows:

    Motherboard: Asus Z97 A USB 3.1

    CPU: Intel i5-4690k @ 3.5GHz

Hard Drive: Hitachi HGST 1TB 7200RPM

    Ram: 2x 4GB G-Skill Sniper

    OS: Currently, Windows 10 32-bit

Thank you in advance for any help with this. I may not respond immediately, as I'm about to leave for work, but I will respond as soon as I return.
