    Uninvited Network Shares [v2004]

    Hello again,

    [W-10 Pro 64 v2004]

After v2004 update today (yes, it took 3 months !) I get unwanted/uninvited items in File Explorer/Total Commander appearing alongside my known network entities.

One, which is labelled Wwp027 is associated with Asus according to its properties, another was associated with Vodafone. They can't be deleted.

I get rid of these by disabling 'Windows Connect Now' service, but I am puzzled how Microsoft manages to get these entities on to the system and what is their purpose. Can only be adware or spyware (?)

    Regards

    Win10 v2004 network shares inaccessible

So, apparently over this past weekend, several of my old clients PCs were upgraded to Win10 v2004, and now it appears that none of these folks can access 'network shares' from a peer-server on their LANs, and I was wondering if this is something that others
have seen as well since this update...(?)

Prior to this things seemed to work well, but now - Well, I am at a loss to figure out what is going on. In both cases, all PCs are on the same work-group, all PCs were upgraded to v2004 at the same time, all network connections are via gigabit Ethernet,
and all network connections are 'private', all PCs 'run' and have their firewall software (Norton) configured for a private network as well, just as it was when they were all running v.1909. I've tried as many 'tricks' as I can think of, even re-enabling
SMB1 (which I'd prefer to not have to do..). I've verified peer networking services (services.msc) to be active and operable, no group policies have been made on any system, which I might believe may have caused this insofar as none were in evidence prior
to 2004 update. But try as I might, I cannot get access to network shares from this "peer server". As a last-gasp effort, I'm now 'rolling back' one clients' PCs to the previous version to see how that goes, and as I wait for this to happen on three computers
I came to ask this question.

So... anyone care to share a few suggestions about why the 2004 update could've caused this?

Uninvited and Unwanted "My Shared Folder"

Every time I boot my computer (OS: Windows 10)
a folder named "My Shared Folder" appears on the
desktop. In addition a folder named "My Shared Folder"
appears is added in the File Explorer. This folder has
its own address: C:\Users\Omar\Desktop\My Shared Folder.

How do I stop this unwanted folder from appearing?

Thanks in advance for anyone who helps me get rid of
this problem. It's getting to be irritating.
