Windows 10: Microsoft R Console Based Script Host 32 bit FLASHES AND DISAPPEARS

Hi All,


I have been having this issue with Microsoft R Console Based Script Host 32 bit on my ROG Scar II.


It keeps on popping up every 40-50 seconds then disappears immediately. I have taken it to the service center, they did a reformat and reinstalled windows. At first it was fine but after using it for a few minutes, it came back again. What I only did was download steam and DOTA 2, updated Asus Armoury Crate, updated microsoft edge, defragged my pc and used disk cleaner after all the downloads. Then it happened again!




This has been driving me insane, someone please help.

multiple processes for console based script host generated by cscript.exe

My system was running slowly and having trouble connecting to the internet. I have AVG virus protection running and up to date.

I found many (like over 200) processed running called Microsoft (R) Console Based Script Host (32 bit) running. I ended each of these yesterday which solved my problems. Today I checked it again and find I have around 200 running again.

I have been running excel, file manager, Chrome, and dropbox, skype and team viewer today.

Any ideas what is generating the multiple versions of these to start up or what I can do to stop them from clogging up my system.

Windows Script Host to stop 'Windows Script Host is disabled on this machine, contact your administrator for details'
message by following these steps:

• Press Windows + R to open Run.
• Type regedit and press Enter to open the
  Registry Editor.
• Navigate to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Script Host\Settings.
• On the right panel, double-click Enabled and change the
  Value data to 1.
• Save the changes and exit the Registry Editor.
  
  Note: Do not modify other keys on the Registry without having enough knowledge about that registry key as it may cause some failures on your PC
