  1. Disable Windows 10 Pro Update Automatic Restart

I run a virtual server in VMware Workstation Pro on my Windows 10 Pro machine. It is mission critical for applications I serve for a non-profit, and should *NEVER* be shut down or rebooted byanyone or anything except me. Auto-reboot messes up my virtual server and takes down critical services.

I already set the Policy Setting for "Don't reboot when users are logged in" to enabled, and Windows outright ignored it and rebooted anyway.

Microsoft has become 100% hostile and militant toward users about forcing updates and I'm sick of it.

How can I disable this un-asked-for garbage? If this can't be resolved, I will abandon Windows software altogether and move to Linux.

    :)

Microsoft Decreasing Windows 10 Updates Downtime in Fall Creators Update

Businesses should really be using Windows 10 Pro not Home, that way they can disable either the automatic downloading of updates or the automatic rebooting (or both).

    windows automatic updates

i have some questions about the windows automatic updates in windows xp pro w sp/2. ive got about forty updates they recommend , mostly for security but i only installed two today. after installing them i found them in my add/remove programs in the control panel, if i add all these updates that is a lot of space on my hd almost 1 gig. i thought that updates just updated files and not created new programs. should i innore all these update suggestions from microsoft?
