  1. A recent update for Win 10 deleted my apps, some games and browser passwords and history

    Hi there

I did a win 10 update on the 15/08/20. It was done at 4 am.

This update wiped out lots of my files Word and photos, some games, and lots of apps. Including my browser Google Chrome history and passwords. I had lots of opened windows and I cant restore them.

Also i has to change my account password as after the update Windows blocked me. So may be I switched my user account to a new one?

    Please try and help me??

Is rolling back to previous version of Win 10 will fix this problem?

    Really thankful for the help.

    :)

    Browser History won't delete

Try this method! The way to delete your browsing history is to go to your Settings, swipe left to go to the Applications. Select Internet Explorer. Scroll down to the bottom of that page. You will see the box that says "delete history" You will get the
confirmation page "Are you sure?" then select delete. Your browser history, cookies, saved passwords, and temporary internet files will be deleted. The information that EdHans posted should also have worked for you.

    With that taken care of:

    • You will probably want to check; Allow cookies on my phone. This will make your browsing perform a little faster and not affect any purchasing of any apps you chose to buy.
    • Checking the "Get suggestions from Bing as I type" will bring up suggestions to what you may be looking for. I find this very beneficial when searching for something.
    • By 'Allow Internet Explorer to collect my browsing history' will make it easier for you to return to previous sites you visit.
You can always follow the directions that I've posted to delete your history at leisure or when you choose.

I hope this answers your question and solves your problem. If so, please mark this answer as helpful and answered. Please post back if you need more assistance.

    Have a great day!

  3. How to recover deleted browser history

    Hi,

As per your query, I would suggest that you follow the steps outlined below which will help you find the browser history if you are using Internet Explorer.

    1. Tab on Win+R, to open Run Command.

    2. In the dialog box, type/paste the line below

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\History

    3. Hit Enter, this will open the location where your Internet Explorer history is stored

    Hope this helps

    Regards

more open win 10 update history..

Update history makes some sense if updates aren't shoved down your throat whether you like it or not. Like... you know, like Windows 10 updates its own shit. With no control, who cares!? Windows Update MiniTool gives some of control in my hands, but it's absolutely retarded to use a 3rd party app for something Windows has already been doing just fine in Win7 and Win8.x.
