Windows 10: No yes button or option to type in the administrator password when asked for it

Hi there,


I know similar questions have been asked in regards to the lack of a yes option when asked for the administrator password but I've tried a number of methods and still haven't gotten anywhere.


I'm not even given the option to try and type in the administrator password.


I don't know the administrator password for my laptop and I'm trying to recover it.


There is only one account user login available on the laptop and this account doesn't have any administrator privileges.


Any help would be great. Thank you

'Hidden Administrator' account asking for password.

We would like to clarify how did you enable the Hidden Administrator account. We suggest using the
Local Security Policy to enable to hidden administrator in Windows 10. Kindly follow these steps:

• Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog.
• Type secpol.msc, and click on OK.
• In the left pane, click on the Local Policies folder to expand it, and click on the
  Security Options folder.
• In the right pane of Security Options, double click on
  Accounts: Administrator account status.
• Select Enabled, and click on OK.

Windows 10 asks for administrator password

I suggest you to create a new user account and check if you face the same issue.

Here are the steps:

• 
  Go to Settings.
  
• 
  Choose Accounts and then select
  Family and other users.
  
• 
  Select add someone else on this PC.
  
• 
  Enter a user name and hit next.
  
• 
  Click on Finish.
  
• 
  Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
  

If you still face the issue, I suggest you to change the account type to administrator account by following the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X.
  
• 
  Select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on User accounts.
  
• 
  Under make changes to your account, click on
  Manage another account.
  
• 
  Select the account which you want to change.
  
• 
  Now click on change the account type.
  
• 
  Select Administrator
  and click on Change the Account Type to change the account type to administrator account.
  
• 
  Now check if you are able to perform the tasks.

Select other user and type administrator and the corresponding password?
