Windows 10: Windows update Not working also the page is blank.

Hi,

I'm Using Windows 10 Home Single Language, I cant able to do latest Updates, when I used to Check for updates it showed error: 0x80080005, then later it is not showing anything, windows update page is blank.


Then I did some research and tried all these steps:


net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver

but nothing worked

When i do this command "net start wuauserv" it shows

"" System error 1058 has occurred.

The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. ""


Also I tried "dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" it says "ERROR"


Windows defender is also not working


I need permanent solution for this, please help me

Let me suggest that you run the Network Troubleshooter. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key
• Search for Control Panel
• Search for Troubleshooting
• Click Network & Internet
• Select Internet Connections
• Follow the on-screen instructions and check if the issue persist.

I have Pantech duo (AT&T). My internet connection does not always work. Sometimes just get blank page after it is looks like loading and opening the page. Any suggestion?

 

Icons Blank/Missing After Windows Update

I noticed this too but not on any Office or Store Apps. This worked for me, for the few that were affected with a blank page icon- go to Program Files, locate the exe for, say, VLC, and right click send shortcut to desktop. That will display correct icon. Drag shortcut to All Apps list or pin to taskbar and click replace, if prompted. The rebuild icon tutorial suggested may help with the Store or Office apps. Good Luck
