  1. Is tere a way to restore Data that was moved to a temporary profile ?

The main Account of my PC was broken and the only way to log in was through a temporary profile. I was in the temporary profile but I didnt knew it was a temporary profile at that time, I thought its a normal account. I moved all the data from the desktop of the corrupted main account into the temporary profile. After closing and opening the PC, everything was deleted since I didnt knew it was like that. It was very very important data that got deleted, is there a way to restore that data ? I have no other chance to get these data again forever, meaning if its gone now, I cant ever get it again from anywhere else. After moving everything to the temporary profile, all data was gone from the main profile to the temporary one of course. Please, I need to restore these data, it contained very old video files etc. I cant lose that! It all happened in Windows 10.

  2. temporary profile

    See if this assists you:

You could do a System Restore in Safe Mode to before the problem:

"How to refresh, reset, or restore your PC"

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

To restore your PC to an earlier point in time

    1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.

(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click
      Search.)
    2. Enter Control Panel in the search box, and tap or click Control Panel.
    3. Enter Recovery in the Control Panel search box, and then tap or click
      Recovery.
    4. Tap or click Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions.
"Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode)"

    4) If none of the above methods work for you, the only final way is creating a new user account and copy the data.

  3. Fix You've been signed in with a temporary profile in Windows 10

I came home today and had to log in to my desktop. When I did it said it was preparing Windows and I was taken to the temporary profile. I followed the tutorial to delete the profile folder path (step 9). At some point in the process, I confirmed that I could see my old files in C: \Users\BriggsDesktop. When I restarted, it went through the "We're glad you're here" screens. However it took me back to the desktop that looks just like the temporary profile one. I can no longer find all of my files. I tried doing a restore, but it did not complete successfully. Suggestions?

Is tere a way to restore Data that was moved to a temporary profile ?

    Clearing (and restoring) Private data

Hi I have some Questions about „cleaning“ up or removing personal/private data & configuration from a Windows 10 PC.

It is about a PC that should be sent to the Vendor to get repaired.
It is not my PC but from a friend.
Usually in such a case I would create an image from the System and reset the OS to factory settings to wipe the data/settings.
But this time I don’t have enough space (and will not have time for it) (Don’t need suggestions for Imaging).

The normal Data (documents, pictures …) are regularly saved / backup so not needed to be saved additionally.
The goal would be removing / backing up the personal Data (in a fast and space saving way) to have them removed and make it possible to put them back, but not deleting /removing the installed Programs, applications and Games (Win32).

From my experience with Windows 7 or Older PCs I would also:

    • Browser: backup Profile and clean it (Easy to restore)
    • Mail Program: backup Profile and clean it (Easy to restore)
    • Change User password (easy to restore)

But as for Windows 10 there are some new … implications about the

    • connected Microsoft account
    • and the Apps

    How to deal with them?
How to remove / disconnect them in a way I can restore afterwards again?
