Windows 10: Feedback or background noise from PC audio out

Recently my computer speakers started "humming". The hum is white or pink noise , not the 60 cycle hum you might hear in professional audio gear that are not properly grounded


I have unplugged every device to isolate the source of the noise. It is definitely the PC. Unplugging the audio out cable eliminates the noise. My speakers are also connected to other sound sources, like an echo dot. The noise is absent with everything but the PC audio connected.


Since I use my PC to write music Cubase software I am sensitive to this noise issue.


My PC is a DELL Inspiron about 1 year old running the most recent updated version of WIndows 10.


I've run various trouble shooters, disconnected all external drives and USB connections, but the noise remains.


Any thoughts on the noise source?

Software to separate noise from the human voice or song

For audio, you could try Audacity. You can select a sample period where there is just the noise you want to remove, then filter that from the audio.

Windows 10 Microphone Noise suppression not working, background static noise

Hi, she has all drivers up-to-date, she tried the first method and nothing changed, she doesn't have a headset with a microphone, she is using the PC's built in microphone. i tried to listen to her with a different headset and the background static noise
is still there. I cant find the realtek HD audio manager files, to uninstall them or update them to see if she gets the same version as i have, because i suspect that the realtek HD audio manager "noise suppression" option is not working properly...

well, she doesn't have to use this manager to get to that option, because the "noise suppression option" can be found in "recording devices" > Microphone properties > enhancements tab

so i think either the mic is faulty and she needs to use the warranty or something is wrong with her windows 10 "noise suppression option"

even if she mutes skype i can still faintly hear that static noise on the background.

This is my Realtek HD Audio Manager,

 

Skype - others cannot hear me, but after changed some configuration, not it has background noise whenever I talked to people.

I am using HP Elitebook 840 G2 Notebook PC.

I also performed following actions:

• Start > Control Panel > Device Manager.
  
  • Or right-click Start, then go to Device Manager.
    
• Double-click Sound, video and game controllers.
  
• Right-click the audio card and select Update Driver Software.
  

My driver is Realtek. Originally I only have Realtek High Definition Audio in my Sound, video and game controllers.

Upon drive software update, it still remains the same. The headphone mic still very soft...

Then I performed:

• Click Update Driver... button.
• Select -> Browse my computer for driver software.
• Select -> Let me pick a list of device drivers on my computer.
• Select High Definition Audio Device

Then the headphone mic is OK, but it has background noise very loud. Not sure why...and where it comes from.

I also performed audio recording check, it was OK, but also has loud background noise.

I tried 2 different types of headphone - one for iPhone application, and one for Samsung mobile phone...
