Since update to Windows 2004 seeing white bars on maximized Chrome and Firefox windows...

I have 6 displays setup with 2 of them being on top of another 2 below. Since update to Windows 2004 seeing white bars on maximized Chrome and Firefox windows peeking into display on top.

Here screenshots could upload for some reason here

    Chrome - https://i.imgur.com/hI7zP7f.png

    Firefox - https://i.imgur.com/7y4iUol.png

In case of Chrome it goes away after minimizing and restoring window or unmaximizing and remaximizing. For Firefox the white bar is always there when windows is maximized.

Issue also seen on clean install of Win 2004, so reinstalling browsers is not a fix.

There is Firefox bug report thread discussing this issue https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1643260

It referers to issue report in MS Feedback app https://aka.ms/AA8myqx which may be made private or deleted as "Your account doesn't have access to this feedback" when try to view it.

I haven't submitted feedback myself in MS Feedback app since there apparnetly is one waiting for confirmation in FF thread and from my experience that is mostly waste of time since they remain unadressed. So I created this post to create more awareness in a place that appears in online searches.

If anyone knows causes or solitions for this, please share. At the very least I would like to know wether MS is aware of this and it will be addressed.

    :)

Large white bar at top or bottom of maximized applications/windows

    Hi,

Several users in my organization (Windows 10, updated to latest 1809 version, on recent Dell computers) have the following issue: when maximizing a window (Chrome, Slack, Adobe Acrobat, etc.), they see a large white band at the top, sometimes at the bottom,
of the maximized window. When at the top, for example, the entire upper part of the window in not only hidden by the bar, but also unclickable. In fact, when one clicks on it, it actually acts as if one clicks on the desktop behind of the window even though
    this application is maximized.

Can anyone help get rid of this very annoying bug?

    Thank you in advance.

  3. New Windows Media Player Plugin for Firefox

Anyone who uses Windows Vista and Mozilla Firefox may be pleased to hear that the Windows Media Player team has now released a plugin for Firefox that should allow the browser to play WMP content on websites. Here are the steps to get it working:
    • Installation of the Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin may require administrative access to your PC. It is recommended that you close all other open browser windows before continuing with the installation.
    • Click the Install button to automatically download and install the Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin.
    • Depending on your security settings, you may see a Security Warning dialog box. Click Install to install the plugin.
There is a known issue if you are using Firefox version 2.0.0.3 on Windows Vista with the installer failing with error code -203. To work around this simply restart Firefox (you will get a notification that Windows Vista will be changing the Firefox compatibility settings) and then install again - the second time should succeed.

The download is available here, and the new plugin works on all versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista (although it is mostly intended for Vista, as that currently has no WMP support in Firefox).
