  1. Windows 10 Updates Keep Nearly Destroying My Laptop

So, I believe this started with the last 2 updates. It was fine before, but suddenly whenever Windows tries to install new updates my laptop invariably gets stuck in The Install/Uninstall Loop that everyone who has this issue talks about.

I always get this: Install error - 0x800703f1 whenever I try to figure out what the issue is.

I don't want to leave my laptop vulnerable, especially as I can't afford a new one and I'm already not very tech savvy. I've just been continuing to pause updates and/or disabling them in the Services app. I know that's really, really terrible, but I need this laptop for my art business and I CANNOT afford to lose everything to an update, or to spend the entirety of one of my two off days trying to bring it back from the depths of blue screen hell. I'm playing with fire, but I'm stuck between risking my laptop being breached, or willingly throwing it to the Windows Update slaughter. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it. Also, how can I better educate myself on stuff like this? Is there a subreddit or a forum for people to learn that you recommend? I'd like to actually know how to handle these problems on my own, but don't know where to start. I don't want to be one of those annoying people that doesn't know anything about computers. :/

Windows 10 Installation completely destroyed my laptop

    Hi there,

Maybe you didn't read? I had followed DELLs steps and the installation was successful.

Windows 10 destroyed my laptop randomly the next day, for no reason. It was working fine for a while. No driver issues or anything like that.

The most frustrating this is that the only solution now is to find Windows 8, install, run all available updates and then install Windows 10. Something which will take many many hours and after it is done might, again, destroy my laptop again for no reason.

Windows 10 Updates Keep Nearly Destroying My Laptop

    Cumulative Update KB4338819 Windows 10 v1803 Build 17134.165 - July 10

This update totally destroyed me, which was not totally unexpected.

I have noticed that update issues are fairly common occurrences.

Microsoft must have a site that lists step by step actions that they want you to take when Windows 10 Updates and trashes a system?

Does such a site exist? Where do I go to get help?

Recovering Windows 10 After an Update

    Step 1:
    sfc /scannow

    Step 2:
    Dism

    Step 3:
etc.. Uninstall Video Drivers and reinstall
