    Win10 2004 Audio Skipping Issue

Hi, sorry but I need help/advice.
*I will keep my post short so apologize if I'm sound rude

I was previously using 1909 version. Just yesterday fresh install to 2004 after some issue in Windows.
Right now facing audio skipping / distortion issue for certain application.
Sound works fine when application start, randomly suddenly will have audio skipping until I restart the application.

    Below the information:
    1. Using DAC Stoner Acoustics UD125
    2. Already try uninstall driver and plug-in again
    3. Already disable all audio enhancement
    4. When have audio skipping, switching to another audio output, issue still persists.

    a. Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling and Variable refresh rate enable (Unsure was these the cause)
    b. Have a lot of "Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModel Runtime status for package Windows" error
    c. KB4571756 was installed (during fresh install).

Please advice anyway to trace the issue or etc.
    Thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. No audio plays at all, playlists get skipped through completely.

Hi there Ethan, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

What I would suggest is to completely remove all the Audio drivers listed in the device manager.

Make sure to tick the box to delete the driver when uninstalling it.

Here is how to do it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound and Audio devices. Right-click the device and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

    Step 5. Reboot the computer.

Please do this on all the drivers listed under Audio and then reboot.

  3. Persisting audio issues with Windows 10 2004 update

Ever since I upgraded my desktop (MSI Z77A-G45, intel i-5 2nd gen, radeon graphics card and realtek audio) with Windows 10 2004 update, I started noticing a lag in audio while playing streaming videos irrespective of applications (browsers, apps you name
it) and worsened with audio skipping along with mouse freezing. The only recourse is to restart machine. I tried remedies such as upgrading audio and video drives with no luck. I then changed graphics card, disabled onboard audio and added pci-e creative audio
card and same issues showed up after few days. Since the system is almost 7 years old, I decided a clean Windows 10 2004 with new build consisting of ASRock B365M-HDV , i3-9100, NVidia GPU and on board Realtek audio and you guessed it correct the same issues
    are persisting.

At this point, I can safely conclude that Microsoft messed up with this update which costed me $$$ system upgrade that was not even necessary in the first place. If anyone of you found a workaround, please suggest (other than known remedies upgrading drivers,
unchecking app sound exclusive mode etc.). I could go back to previous 1909 version which is an option but that is a last resort.

  4. Win10 2004 Audio Skipping Issue

Audio part of the video is not saving on Windows 10.

    Hi Susie,

The issue might have occurred due to the following reasons:

    • Software used to create the video.
    • Step forgotten while creating the video.

Before we assist you further, I would like to ask you a few questions:

    • Which software are you using to create the video?
    • Did you skip the step to add audio while creating the video?

You may have skipped the step to add the audio while creating the video. Check if you have followed the steps to add audio while creating the video on the computer.

Write to us with the answers to the above questions and the status of saving the video on the desktop issue on the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.
