    My computer has been acting weird lately, freezing many times and sometimes crashing blue screen of death with error codes like critical process died, and then it couldn't boot anymore, so I downloaded the Microsoft windows tool from another pc, burned a CD, backed up all my files from this computer and reinstalled windows, making sure I deleted all of my files because I thought I had a malware or something I did a Malwarebytes full scan, Microsoft defender full scan, checked for updates, used sfc /scannow, and chkdsk to make sure my computer was okay - still froze and crashed.

    After reinstalling windows, just as I've finally reached the desktop, computer freezes, stays frozen, and then blue screen again: critical process died. I wait for it to reboot, and it crashes again while booting with the error "false config info" i'm not sure if that's the exact wording. I then wait for windows automatic repair, and finally I reach the login screen again. I enter my account, reach the desktop, and open the task manager since my computer is still a bit slow to find that there is 100% disk usage knowing very well I still haven't used my computer at all, haven't downloaded anything, which makes it really weird.

    I am not sure whether I have a hardware problem or not since my computer still crashes even after reinstalling windows and deleting all my files. Any help will be very welcomed. Thank you very much.

    Windows 10 100% disk usage

    I have a laptop running Windows 10 Pro. A few weeks ago due to an accident, my laptop hard a hard crash and afterwards, Windows 10 started to get very slow, frequent crashes, freezing, programs not opening etc. Though I was able to fix Windows 10 by running
    chkdsk, DISM and sfc /scannow multiple times, the problem is that my laptop is still very slow and freezes frequently as before and in Task Manager, the disk usage is always at 100%, even if I am not running any programs. I have tried all listed ways on internet
    such as - disabling windows search, disabling superfetch, malware scan etc and the problem persists. This problem also happens in clean and safe boot. Upon running chkdsk, it shows 876 kb in bad sectors. I suspect that my HDD has probably gone bad due to the
    impact. Please suggest some solutions to resolve 100% disk usage problem.

    i5- 8250u

    8 GB RAM
