    my laptophp pavilion p027 doesnt shut down or hibernate properly


    doesnt happen all the times, it mostly happens when i use it for more than 2-3 hours. The screen turns black and the light indicator on the power button keeps on until i force turn off. Also happens when i leave my laptop turned on, without using it or when it goes to sleep or hibernate. i have to force shut it down when that happens. i turned off fast startup, removed and plugged the battery, restored the default power plan setting. Also my brightness down key doesnt work and when it does it goes all the way down on its own if thats anyhow related to my shut down problem. this problem started few days back when i replaced my hdd with a ssd and installed windows 10 in it.

    hibernate, but shuts down

    Hello,

    We suggest to manually setup hibernation on your computer. You may follow the steps below:

    • Right-click on your desktop and select Personalize.
    • Click Lock screen>Screen saver settings>Change power settings>Choose what the power buttons do.

    • Change the settings When I press the power button, click
      hibernate.
    • Click Save changes.

    win 10 will not shut down properly

    Usually, this issue occur due to outdated or corrupted device drivers, services or processes which are not shutting down properly, or third-party programs that prevents your computer to shut down properly. For better assistance, we'll be needing additional
    information:

    • Have you made any recent changes on your computer prior to the issue?
    • Is this an error message Explorer\windows\settingsync\BackgroundUploadTask? If yes, where are you getting this message?
    • If possible, can you send us a screenshot?

    Meanwhile, we suggest that you run the Power troubleshooter as an initial troubleshooting step. To run the Power troubleshooter, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X and select Settings.
    • Choose Update & Security from the list.
    • Click Troubleshoot in the left pane of the window.
    • Under Find and fix other problems, select Power
      and click Run the troubleshooter.

    Shutting down, hibernating, or sleeping?

    Speaking of ... I just built a new PC with an AMD Kaveri and Windows 7 64 and the option sleep is greyed out, I get shut down and hibernate; it's funny, on my PC (see specs) I get sleep and shut down not hibernate. I tried the bios but I'm clueless. Any ideas?
