    Gears of War Ultimate Edition Freezes during Gameplay Unplayable


    Hi all!

    I bought Gears of War Ultimate Edition last week for Windows. Since the game is a 55gb app, I downloaded and installed the game on an external SSD I do this with steam games as well. I have two main issues preventing me from playing the game I bought.


    1. In single player campaign the game freezes at the exact same location every time. I've been able to recreate the freeze multiple times. The video and audio freezes. I've tried updating my drivers and setting xbox services to automatic forum post about this. I cannot figure if there is a log being created upon this error, or how to even adjust the settings for an error log to be created.

    • Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
    • How do I view the runtime error logs from the game?

    2. I cannot find an online game. I understand that the game is old, and there might not be any players queuing. However, I have tried searching for all game modes on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night Eastern US time to no avail. There are videos of other players finding matches on youtube. Do I need to purchase a separate game pass for online play?
